Your step into the professional world of scuba diving. At Phuket Scuba Club we offer a comprehensive Divemaster course based on an internship over 2/3 weeks. In a friendly working environment, the candidate will have the opportunity to learn all the aspects of the diving industry. We also offer a job placement service for the successful candidate to gain further experience.

Prior to starting the DM course you need to complete the Open Water, Advanced, Emergency First Response and Rescue Diver first. By the time you complete your Divemaster course you need to have 60 dives logged and because of our location between the months of October – mid May we can offer to build up the rest of your dives free of charge. In other words we offer you unlimited diving in case your goal is to reach Instructor level when you would need a minimum of 100 logged dives.
What is a Divemaster?
A Divemaster is a certified diving professional with a deep understanding of dive theory, excellent underwater skills, and the ability to guide and assist other divers. This course is the first step toward a diving career, equipping you with the knowledge and experience to lead dives, assist instructors, and ensure diver safety.

The course operates as an internship, allowing you to gain comprehensive knowledge of the Dive Industry, including Customer Relations, Equipment Maintenance, Boat Management, and Sales. You’ll also participate in assisting our Instructors in various diver education programs. This exposure to different teaching styles and techniques will help you identify your preferred teaching approach when you become a professional.

The first step to become a professional. Within three or four weeks you learn advanced technics and theories. Be trained to supervise single divers or dive groups under water, demonstrate skills for beginners, maintain dive gear, direct a dive boat and many more.
